Dr. Ghassan "Gus" Khankarli

Dr. Ghassan "Gus" Khankarli, Ph.D. PE, PMP, CLTD, has served as the Director of the City of Dallas' Department of Transportation since December 2020. In his current position, Dr. Khankarli leads the department's multimodal strategic vision, including the integration of transportation assets with emerging technology needs.

Dr. Khankarli has over 30 years of professional experience, including serving in various capacities at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for over 20 years. Dr. Khankarli is a member of the Transportation Research Board's standing committees on Aviation Administration and Policy (AV 010) and Intermodal Freight Transport (AT 045), and serves on several North Central Texas Council of Governments' (NCTCOG) committees.

Travis Campbell, P.E.

Travis Campbell began his career as a summer hire for Texas Department of Transportation and worked for three consecutive summers in the Lufkin District. Travis is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He began full-time employment as an Engineer in Training at TxDOT in June 2010 in Roadway Design at the Dallas District and later worked in the Collin County Area Office as a Project Engineer in construction. In 2015, Travis accepted a position as the H&H Design Section Supervisor and then he became the Project Delivery Office Supervisor for the Dallas District in 2017. Travis then went on to become the Denton County Area Engineer and is now currently the Dallas District Director of Transportation Planning and Development

With over 26 years of experience in banking, Fannon has proven to be bank professional with excellent customer management skills.
